Veterans and Fallen Heroes

Veteran's Services

We truly believe that the men and women who answered our nation’s call embody the ideals Americans hold so dear. Because they have proven their devotion to their fellow citizens and to a grateful nation, we all owe them the same respect and devotion in return.

Our Efforts To Ensure A Dignified Service

Our Efforts To Ensure A Dignified Service

In an effort to honor veterans and assist their families during and after the funeral service, we file all Veterans Benefits claims on your behalf.

Such benefits can include a memorial U.S. flag, a Presidential Memorial Certificate, a Veterans Administration headstone or marker, burial at a National Cemetery, a military flag folder and presenter, and, for those who retired from the military, are disabled as a result of military service, or died while serving on active duty, full military honors by the branch of service with which the veteran served. To ensure prompt handling of your claim, please have the original or a certified copy of the Veteran's DD214.

In addition to filing benefit claims, the family and staff of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home honor and pay respect to veterans by doing the following:

  • Displaying a large American flag near the entrance of the chapel
  • Placing an emblem of the Veteran's branch of service on the sides and back of the funeral coach when transferring the Veteran to the final resting place
