Deborah Miller Boudreaux

Deborah, age 67, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 16th, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in San Diego, California, Deborah later made her home in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, where she built a life defined by love, warmth, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. For 45 wonderful years, she shared a devoted and enduring marriage with her husband, Gary. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering love. Deborah was a proud and devoted mother to four daughters and a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “Nonnie.” Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. She especially treasured time spent rock hounding with her grandchildren and family, always turning simple moments into lasting memories. She had a special gift for nurturing life in all its forms. She adored animals and plants of every kind, tended to gardens that bloomed as brightly as her spirit, and never met a stray she wouldn’t take in and love as her own. Her passion for nature extended to the wilderness, where she found peace camping beneath the stars and exploring new places on family trips. She often shared that she would like to be remembered in the gentle presence of butterflies and dragonflies, a reflection of the beauty and peace she found in the natural world. Deborah had a rare and beautiful way of connecting with others; she befriended everyone she met and truly never met a stranger. Known for her boundless energy and love of life, she was the heart of every gathering. She took great pride in creating her beautiful indoor and outdoor Christmas displays and joyfully hosted her beloved annual Hot Cocoa and Santa Party. She also made it a tradition to host New Year’s Eve celebrations, joyfully ringing in the new year surrounded by her adoring husband, daughters, and grandchildren, while welcoming friends and their children for a warm, family-friendly celebration. Whether planning a holiday feast, hosting a backyard gathering, or organizing a spontaneous adventure, she brought people together with her kindness, creativity, and infectious laughter. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and at home. Deborah will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generosity, compassion, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gary Boudreaux; daughters, Breanna Bergeron (Daniel), Amandalyn Hoover (Michael), Cassandra Veillon, and Darralann Phenis (Josh); grandchildren, Kaeden, Landen, Cohen, Kroy, Alyssa, Berkley, Gavin, Charlotte, and Julietta; brothers, Butch Miller and Robert Miller; along with step-mother, Judy Miller, and numerous other family members. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents; mother, Shirley Formway (Jim), and father, Hutton Miller, Sr. A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on March 27th at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to Geaux Wild Rehab, Purrs of Hope Rescue, or Tangi Humane Society in honor of her lifelong love for all living things. PONCHATOULA, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 1190 Hwy 51 North, Ponchatoula, LA. on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Charles Johnson and Pastor Brad Roberts will officiate with interment to follow in Rosaryville Cemetery.
