Claire “Clara” LeBlanc Olah Age 80, God saw Claire getting tired, wrapped his arms around her and took her to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Words cannot describe Claire’s love for her God, and her late husband Joseph; together they began a beautiful family. She was a selfless woman who worked hard for her family, believed in family traditions and values; it was important to her to keep her family and siblings close but God closer. Claire was the eldest child of six; she adapted her own way of caring for her siblings and showing her love to them by simply spending time with them and her children and dancing with her husband. Claire and Joe both farmed together. Claire loved going to church and was a faithful member for 24 years at St. Margaret Catholic Church and a current member for the past forty years at Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Albany Hungarian Settlement Cultural Association, American Legion Post 258 and Amvets Post 68. Claire will be dearly missed by all of her church family. Claire is survived by her sons, Joseph and wife Elaine, David , Timmy and wife Connie; daughters, Cheryl, Donna, Tammy and husband Billy Foster; grandchildren, David, Jared, Kim, Mark and Adrienne, Brandon and Katie, Joseph, Claire and Gregory Salinas, Caleb and Will Foster; great grandchildren, Bailey and Brady Jones, Kelsey, Tyler, Ryleigh, Sophia and Aria, Karli and husband Cody Miller; great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Aiden Miller; siblings, Evelyn Troyo and Hiram Hayney, Thais and Bondy Fekete, Harold and Frances LeBlanc, Carolyn and Rixby Hardy and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding Claire in death was her husband of 59 years, Joseph Olah; and brother, Claude J. LeBlanc. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Friday, August 14, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the Religious service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Don Thursby and Pastor Jim Hill will officiate the service and interment will follow in the Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
