Audrey McMorris Henderson ?For we know that if our earthy house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens? 2 Cor. 5:1 Audrey McMorris Henderson, 72, of Livingston, entered peacefully into Glory, surrounded by family, at her home on Sunday, July 24, 2011 after a seven year courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a native of Livingston, graduate of Doyle High School and Charter member of Oakview Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving Christian wife, mother and grandmother, sister and friend. She was an inspiration to the community and to all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Marvin A. Henderson, daughter Janet H. Cagley and husband Mike of Livingston, son Jeffrey A. Henderson and wife Andie of Baton Rouge, daughter Julie H. Duffy and husband Corey of Livingston; six grandchildren, Cody Matthew Bowlin, Callie Danielle Bowlin, Emma Claire Duffy, Jacob Corey Duffy, Karrigan Audrey Cagley, and Beau Alexander Henderson; Step Grandchildren Melissa Leigh Cagley and Michael John Cagley, Jr. and Step Great Grandchild Konner Blaine; Brothers Vernon McMorris and wife Zeebie, Darvin McMorris and wife Georgia Pearl, and Herbert McMorris and wife Doris Lee; Sister Sharon McMorris; Brothers in Law Clyde Henderson and wife Mildred, Wayne Henderson and Wife Carolyn, Dale Henderson and wife Sue; Sister in Law Laverne Watts and husband Valery; Foster Sons Joey and George Fedele; Very Special Neighbors and Friends Mike and Vickey Lott, and Randy Dufrene is like a son. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including many friends from the National Auctioneers Association located throughout the United States and South Africa. She is preceded in death by an infant son; her Parents Alex B. McMorris and Thelma Irene Kyzar McMorris, brothers Gilbert McMorris and wife Bessie, Elbert McMorris and wife Thelma, and infant brother Merle; sisters Mathel Harrell and husband L. C., Etruie Rushing and husband U. U., Mother and Father in Law Joseph Lawrence and Gladys Henderson. She and her husband started Henderson Auctions shortly after their marriage in 1957 and she was a supporting force in the business. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and working in her beautiful yard. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Giles Fort, the nurses and staff at Woman's Hospital, Dr. Stephanie Cave and the staff at Cypress Integrative Medicine and the many friends who provided care and comfort throughout her illness. She was a faithful member of Oakview Baptist Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Oakview Baptist Church, Wednesday July 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. The family request visiting hours be observed at Oakview Baptist Church, 27368 Frost Rd., Livingston, LA (Highway 63 South) on Tuesday July 26, 2011 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service time.
