William John Miller III

William John Miller III, born January 9, 1947, to William John Miller, Jr. and Dorothy Jensen Miller, entered eternity surrounded by his loving family on January 30, 2024, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Bill leaves behind two daughters and one son: Laura Miller Aguillard (Stephen), Kourtnie Amelia Ramirez (Rengie), and William John “Billy” Miller IV. He is survived by one sister, Patricia Miller Rogers (Sammy). His grandchildren are Stephen Paul Aguillard, Jr. (Darlene), Nathan Reid Aguillard (Hailey), Maggie Claire Aguillard Durham (Reece), Zoe Elizabeth Aguillard, Elijah James Aguillard, Ephraim William Ramirez, Emerson Loyal Ramirez, Olive Norah Ramirez, and Ezra Leeland Ramirez. His great-grandchildren are Nash Reid Aguillard, Rooney Bea Elodie Aguillard and Sarah Elizabeth Aguillard. He has a very special Uncle Paul Edward Tyson Jensen and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Bruce Edward Miller (Vicki) and Richard Christian Miller (Cindy). Bill grew up in Cuba until he was 15 years old and then moved to Florida. He was very athletic, enjoyed all sports, won numerous awards, especially in baseball as a player. He played Triple A Baseball in Cincinnati, Ohio, until he was injured. Bill then worked for U.S. Sugar, and after retiring, he started his own successful business, DOMI AG in the sugar industry. Bill continued his leadership abilities as a teacher at St. Amant Academy and as a case worker for homeless veterans. Bill loved his family deeply, and he was always available to lend a helping hand or word to encourage others. A dedicated Christian, Bill attended services regularly with smiles for all. When he was young and in college, Bill wore his naturally blonde hair shoulder-length, looking quite the handsome hippie. Upon graduating, he was an up and coming career man with a short haircut and a suit in the administration of a large company. No matter where God led him, he was always still the same Sweet William - kind, gentle, and caring... with those twinkling blue eyes. In lieu of flowers in memory of Bill, donations can be made to www.lifehousechurch.us/the-fragrant-house or www.modernhomehealth.net/ Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at LifeHouse Church, 12057 Sallie Kinchen Rd., Hammond, LA. on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Stephen Aguillard will officiate with interment to follow in Carter Cemetery in Springfield, LA.
