Virginia McKigney Jennings Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Virginia, age 78, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Virginia enjoyed doing for others, cooking, reading, sewing, spending time with her family, attending church and loved caring for her pets and her plants and she especially loved sunflowers. Virginia graduated LSU in 1966 with a Home Economics degree. She was so talented in making homemade crafts and her and Larry enjoyed spending time and spent numerous hours doing Craft Fairs. She worked as a Dietitian for many years at Numerous healthcare organizations in Dallas. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Virginia is survived by her husband of 32 years, Larry Don Jennings; sons, James Maryman and wife Julie, John A. Maryman and wife Darlene; granddaughters; Kaitlyn Magee and husband Sammy Magee, Jessie Maryman; great-grandchild, Anna Kate Magee. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West, Hammond, LA. on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. The family will be gathering at First United Methodist Church of Springfield after the Funeral Service and requests your attendance.
