Valerie Bourn Watts

March 21, 1962 - October 20, 2020

Valerie took on her many roles with an enthusiasm and zeal unknown to most; she was determined, creative, ambitious, and bold. She displayed a kindness and generosity with her time and energy, there was always space on her porch for those who needed it. Her passion was most evident in her love and dedication to her family, particularly to her and Keith’s nieces and nephews and their children. She leaves behind a wake of devotion and compassion that those held closest to her will keep in their hearts forever. Valerie is survived by Keith Watts her husband of 37 years, parents Danny and Deanna Bourn, sisters Ronda Grest (Eric) and their children Laura, Kyle and Amy, Lilah Blackwell (James) and their children Rheagan and Roxanne, brother Donnye Bourn (Sandra) and their children Kasye and Candace, Step-Daughter Toshia Perrin (Mark) and their children Jacob and Taylor, sister-in-laws Catherine Lindsay, Dianne Wolfe (Weaver) and their son Bryan Wolfe, Maureen Phares (Sherman), cousin Chris Bourn (Lezlie) and their children Ryan, Shane and Colby also 10 great nieces and nephews Preceded in death by Mother in-law and Father-in-law Ione and Leslie Watts and nephew Bobby Wolfe In lieu of flowers, donations to: Northshore Heart of Hospice, 1001 Hwy. 190 East Service Rd., Covington, LA 70433 Phone # 985-549-1877. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation Saturday October 24, 2020 from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West, Hammond, LA. from 9:00 a.m. until the beginning of the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Deacon Larry Melancon will officiate with interment to follow in Wetmore Cemetery in Ponchatoula. Due to Covid there will be no after service reception.
