December 29, 1997 - October 28, 2021
Tyler Orlin Stafford, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at age 23. He was a lifelong resident of Pumpkin Center, LA. Affectionately known as “Hardrock”, Tyler was the oldest of three children born to Orlin and Tonya Stafford. As a child growing up on “Martin Hill”, Tyler lived the life many boys could only dream of. He spent his days enjoying the great outdoors, fishing in his family’s pond and on the Little Natalbany River, mud riding on his four-wheeler, and getting into all kinds of mischief. As he grew older, he became an expert angler and marksman and was known for his amazing deer slaying and tracking skills. Although his life was short, he lived every day to the fullest. He was a free spirit and had more friends than most people could make in an entire lifetime, but he was always ready to make more. He had an effervescent personality and was full of charisma and charm. Although he would sometimes find himself in a tight spot, he could easily talk his way out of it and when it was all said and done, there were no hard feelings, and he probably even made a new friend or two. With that great personality, blue eyes and long, gorgeous hair, it was impossible to stay mad at him. He loved all of “his people”…his family, his friends, his coworkers, and just about everybody else he knew. He took great pride in his work, manufacturing boats, as a welder with Gator Trax. In just 23 short years, he managed to take in a lifetime of living. Tyler left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched and will never be forgotten. Tyler leaves behind his parents, Donald Orlin Stafford and Tonya Martin Stafford; siblings, McKenzie and Nicholas Stafford; aunts and uncles, Wayne Martin (Shelia), Rodney Martin, Melissa Stilley (Lloyd); numerous cousins and many, many friends. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Marie “Mickey” Stafford, Henry “Jr.” and Norma Martin; uncles, Frank Stafford, and Allen Martin. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home-12012 Highway 190 West Hammond LA 70401 on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and again on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 9:00am-11:00am. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November, 1, 2021 at 11:00am, with Bro. Allen Wall officiating and interment following in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
