Shirley Wesley McMorris

November 14, 1942 - May 20, 2022

Shirley passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 79 years old. She was born in Denham Springs, Louisiana and resided in Walker, Louisiana where she raised her family. Shirley’s pride and joy was being a grandmother to her grandchildren. She adored them and loved spending every moment she had making memories with them. Shirley was a sports fan and took pleasure in watching baseball and football on Sunday’s. Her favorite pastime was tending to her yard, which she greatly enjoyed and prided herself with having a well-kept yard. Shirley was a one-of-a-kind lady, who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Brett McMorris (Debbie), Sheila Guitreau, and Jeff Wesley (Cindy); grandchildren, Austin, Amy, Kyle, Jenna, Keaton, Kameron, Kimberly, Jennifer, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Coylynn, Aiden, Kynnedi, Connor, Lincoln, Mia, Lola, Boston, Aaliyah, Ethan, and Delany; great-great-grandchild, Carter. Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie McMorris; daughter, Kimberly McMorris; son-in-law, Don Guitreau; brother, J.R. Wesley; parents, Sylvin and Maudie Wesley. A graveside service will be held Sibley Cemetery in Walker, LA, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
