Robin L. "Mick" Doty Sr.
April 18, 1953 - March 31, 2022
Mick was born a "Hoosier" but lived his early life as a "Green Beret" in the US Army in combat in Vietnam. He then served in the Army in Hawaii and Alaska. Always up for an adventure he joined the US Customs Service after leaving the military life and made traveling uncomfortable for many an airline passenger departing from Anchorage, AL. After Alaskan he moved south to warmer climates to Indiana, renewed his familial ties there, then chose to move on south to be close to his sister in Louisiana. There he met and married his late wife, Brenda, eventually settling in Livingston Parish, LA. Mick was a generous man with his time and tools and never missed an invitation to a crawfish boil. He loved southern living, talk, and food. Mick was a Christian preacher and loved the Lord and the church without doors and was never without a quick prayer for anyone. He will be remembered and missed by all of us and his dogs. We know he is with his Lord. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA.
