    Pamela Dawn Stanga Kraft

    October 8, 1965 - July 18, 2021

Pam, a resident of Ponchatoula, was born October 8, 1965 to Claiborne and Jackie Stanga. Pam passed away Sunday, July 18,2021, at North Oaks Medical Center surrounded by family at the age of 55. She was a loving wife, mama, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many. Pam would light up any room with her radiant smile and joyful personality, and she is already deeply missed. Pam grew up in Bedico and attended school at Champ Cooper and then Ponchatoula High School. She was a very talented artist all through school and was loved by her classmates for her kind soul. She met the love of her life, Scoffer, at a young age, soon married and started a family. She was the best wife and mom anyone could ever hope for. Taking care of others gave her true joy. Pam’s unconditional love and devotion to Scoffer and being a stay-at-home mom and raising her babies completely filled her heart with love and happiness. Pam was the most selfless person, always putting others first. She was always referred to as an “Angel on Earth,” and it is of great comfort knowing she had the most special place waiting on her in Heaven when she arrived. Besides taking care of her family, she loved painting to express her creative side and would turn objects like discarded crab shells into pieces of art. Her other hobbies included reading, she loved a good book and would always call it her escape and relaxing time. Pam also enjoyed the simple pleasures of cooking delicious meals for her family, working in her yard cutting grass, taking care of her beautiful flowers, tending to her soft crab vats, and helping Scoffer skin catfish. However, her absolute favorite job and title would be “MiMi” to her ten grand babies. They were her most treasured blessings and she always went above and beyond to make sure they had everything their hearts desired. MiMi always knew what they each needed without even being told. MiMi just knew! Pam was such a huge important part of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Her passing leaves a tremendous void which will remain until they meet again, and for now, comfort will be found in treasured and priceless memories of time spent with her. If you knew Pam, you felt the genuine love and kindness that she had in heart and soul for everyone. She was a blessing to so many. Pam is survived by her children, Amanda Kraft Hill- husband Laramie, Charles Jesse Kraft- wife Tamie, and Daisy May Kraft; grandchildren, Skylar Nichols, Dilyn Hill, Ethan Hill, Charleigh Grace Hill, Kalem Smith, Presleigh Kraft, Miah Bernard, Allie May Bernard, Peyton Bernard, and Chandler Hills; sister, Lynette Stanga; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Lucille Gregoire Davidson and Ken Davidson; sisters-in-law, RoxAnn Bear, Renee Kraft-Campbell (Bobby), Jewel Kraft (John), and Lori Kraft (Dave). Pam is proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Gregory “Scoffer” Kraft; father and mother, Claiborne and Jackie (Chavers) Stanga; grandparents Thomas Charles “T.C.” and Flossie Chavers, Steven L. and Hazel Stanga; father-in-law, Charles “Daigo” Kraft; brother-in-law, Mark Bear; and cousin, Jason Fournet. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation held in the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 1190 Hwy 51 North PONCHATOULA, on Monday, July 26, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Wetmore Cemetery.
