Olga Yvonne Robertson DuBois, age 88, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Olga was born in Tickfaw, Louisiana on August 17, 1933 to Ray and Edna Robertson. Raised on a dairy farm during the depression years and as one of 10 children, she learned early the true meaning of love, family, hard work and sacrifice. Olga was married to her sweetheart, Allie Joseph DuBois, for 72 years. Proverbs 31:10, “Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.” She served her family well and unselfishly. She often said, “Except for the grace of God, there go I.” She had much wisdom and discernment and trained her children in the ways of God. Olga had a heart for revivals, and she enjoyed preparing meals for evangelists and their families throughout the years.She had a love for cooking, passing down her handwritten recipes, gardening, and reading. Priceless memories of her reading the Bible, her faithful praying hands, and her firm standing on the promises of God will be cherished always by her children and grandchildren. This precious mama and mawmaw will be forever missed on “The Hill”. Olga is survived by her daughter Peggy DuBois Hicks and husband Bob, son Jimmy DuBois and wife Belinda, daughter Judy DuBois Dietzel, daughter Jerri DuBois Bankston and husband Mark, son Mark DuBois and wife Karen; 11 grandchildren Heather Hicks, Jennifer Hicks, Lindsey Hicks Trabeaux and husband Billy, Adam DuBois and wife Missy, Amy DuBois Saucier and husband Craig, JerriAnna Bankston Bourn and husband Kasye, Megan DuBois Carter and husband Chris, Emily Bankston Gill and husband Taylor, Paul Dietzel and wife Shelby, Whitney DuBois Wilkinson and husband Jordan, Ryan Bankston; 15 great grandchildren Ali Sziber and husband Tim, Barrett DuBois, Quinn Saucier, Ainsley DuBois, Emi Kate Saucier, Kanen Bourn, Eli Carter, Greyson Dietzel, Reese Dietzel, Caroline Gill, Banks Dietzel, Channing Carter, Chet Gill, Lennon Wilkinson, Dietzel baby (September); 2 great great grandchildren Colt and Walker Sziber; Chase Sullivan and Daisy Sziber whom she loved as her own; her Robertson brothers Jimmy, Doc, Louis and Ed; her sisters Ruth O’Neil and Linda Sibley; Joyce DuBois whom she loved as her sister. Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Allie Joseph DuBois; her parents, Ray and Edna Robertson; her brother, Ray Robertson; her sisters, Geraldine Scott and Jo Ann Neames; her son-in-law Steve Dietzel. Olga was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Livingston, Louisiana. A special thank you to her caregiver, Dianne Gautreaux.
