Mary Frances "Pickle" Hano

October 24, 1937 - February 3, 2021

The Family Reunion has just begun on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Mary Frances “Pickle” Hano received a special invitation to the Grand Hano and Shaffer Family Reunion where she will serve as the guest of honor. She boarded her flight on the wings of Angels and made a safe Journey to Heaven. Mary Frances was born on October 24, 1937 in Pumpkin Center, LA. She is survived by her children, Huey Ridgell, Jr., Cindy Collins, Bobbie Lynn Oliphant, Bryant Hano (JoAnn) and Michelle Weedman; sister Fay Shaffer Hano (Earl Kay); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She also considered herself to be a close family member to Jeff, Jason, Justin and Jarred Cashe. Preceding her in death was her husband of 58 years, Bobby Hano; her parents Cloyde and Almedia (Gatlin) Shaffer; two brothers, Cloyde, Jr. and Calvin Henry “Herby” Shaffer; a sister Imogene Adams; grandson, Bradley Ridgell; daughter in law Tina Ridgell; and sons in law, Jim Collins and Bart Oliphant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 W, Hammond, Louisiana on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 10AM until 1PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 1PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment, Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery, Pumpkin Center, LA. Pallbearers will be grandsons BJ Oliphant, Chad Ridgell, Billy Collins, Michael Aaron Walker, Layton Wiley and Sidney Ridgell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Calvin Shaffer, Jr, Darrell Adams, Earl Hano, Jr. and Ricky Hano.
