Lucille Sullivan O'Neal

Our beautiful Mother, Lucille Sullivan O'Neal, joined our Dad in eternity on Thursday, December 28th, 2023. She was born in Denham Springs, LA on Thursday, February 11th, 1937 where she lived her entire life. Mom loved music and was a wonderful pianist. She often played the piano in church and for revivals around town. Mom also enjoyed the beauty of nature and was especially fond of the rabbits and hummingbirds that would visit her yard. She had an esteemed career at Merrill Lynch for 43 years where she began as a trading clerk posting stock prices with chalk on a blackboard and retired as an Administrative Manager-Vice President. She lived and breathed Merrill Lynch. For those of you who had the good fortune of working with her, we are quite sure you became familiar with the markings of a red pen and her strong work ethic. She adored you though. And, oh, how she was devoted to, and loved, our Dad. They were married for 65 years and she doted over him. She also kept him in line. Most often it was making sure he kept his shirttail tucked in or having him remove a wandering bit of chewing tobacco from his chin. They were great parents and we are so blessed to have had them. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Angela Mashon (Donny) and Liz Wax (Mike); grandchildren, Jordan Webb (Amanda), Amy Glasper (Benny), and Brandon Lynch; great-grandchildren, Landon Adams, Luke Adams, Lucy Webb, Audrey Webb, Bentley Glasper, and Wyatt Webb; brother, Bob Sullivan (Nancy), sisters, Ann Sullivan, and Joan Sullivan: her loving caregivers, Mary Kennedy and April Passaro, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Clarence "Buck" O'Neal Jr., father, John Sullivan, her mother, Lydia Sullivan, her sisters, Johnnie Sullivan Wesley and Sue Sullivan, and infant brother, Timothy Sullivan. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration honoring our Mom on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2023 at Brandon G, Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA 70726. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hebron Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jordan Webb, Brandon Lynch, Donny Mashon, Mike Wax, Bennie Chambers, Benny Glasper, Ashton Ancar, and John Doucet. Honorary Pallbearers: Landon Adams, Luke Adams, Bob Sullivan, Les O'Neal, Twig Webb, Sammy Lynch, Mike Harris, Matt Wesley, and Jarod Doucet. DENHAM SPRINGS, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd, Denham Springs, LA. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Destry McFearin will officiate with interment to follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
