    Lee Wilson

    July 17, 1951 - May 29, 2022

Lee Wilson was born on July 17th, 1951, in Washington D.C. and passed away on May 29, 2022, after a 12 year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. Lee graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1969, receiving a commission to West Point. He completed his BS in Criminal Justice at LSU and worked for EBR Sheriff’s Office as well as the EBRP District Attorney’s Office as an investigator and Pretrial Intervention Officer. He returned to LSU in 1983 and completed Law School in 1986. In 2012, he retired as an EBR Assistant District Attorney, Section Chief in Juvenile Court. His family would describe him as a sharp-witted jokester with an enormous loving heart. His greatest joy was his family and he prided himself on his sons. Lee was devoted and extremely involved in his family’s lives, especially his grandchildren. When Lee wasn’t spending time with his family, he could be found exercising, which was another big part of his life. Lee was a loving and doting husband, father, and grandfather who will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory is cherished by his devoted wife and best friend of 43 years, Carinne Carloss Wilson; his beloved son Benjamin D. Wilson and wife Claire, their children, Luke and Anna Claire; his beloved son Steven C. Wilson and wife Lindsey, their children Ella, Lola, and Walker; loving sister and brother, Debra Sledge and Burnell Wilson; brother-in-law, Don Carloss and wife Fran; niece, Erinne Milligan; nephew, Chad Carloss and wife Meggan. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Rita Wilson. The family would like to give a special thanks to Plantation Management Group and Harvest Manor Nursing Home for their compassionate care in his final days. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Alzheimer’s Services of Capital Area. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, June 2, 2022, held in the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will resume at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 12:00 p.m.
