    Larry John Guillot Sr.

    June 26, 1928 - April 26, 2022

    Larry, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Hammond, LA. Larry was a hardworking entrepreneur and self-employed most of his life. One of his first jobs as a boy was helping his father and brothers harvest and sell moss from the bayou to help support their family. Larry took great pride in providing for his family and always made sure to have what they needed. He enjoyed going dancing and camping all over the US and into Canada. He cared for and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his sister, Annie Gros, age 100; children, Richard Guillot (Linda Turner), Larry Guillot Jr. (Judy Sansoni), Myra Cannino (Nicholas), Lucinda Liuzza (Anthony); grandchildren, Michael John Guillot (Kristen), Jeremy Guillot (Tera), Megan Guillot, Carly Cannino (Daniel Golding), Monique Cefalu (Adam), Nicholas Cannino (Holly), Joey Liuzza (Nichole), Kevin Liuzza (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren, Eric, Aubrey, Jeremy Jr., Lainie, Emrie, Shelby, Sarah, Sonny, Rocco, Desi, Ethan, Jéan, Addison, Brady, Brandt, Isabelle, Juliana, Brooks,; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Olga Theriot Guillot; wife of 8 years, Ester Mae Zeringue Guillot; parents, Oneil and Effie Guillot; and siblings, Claude Guillot, Xavier "Joe" Guillot, Albert Guillot, Sidney Guillot, Necess Guillot, Odette "Tootie" Gros, Oneil Guillot Jr., and infant Abbie Guillot. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the kind and caring staff and residents of Summerfield Senior Living of Hammond for their support and friendship for the past five years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity of your choice in honor of Mr. Larry. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Mike O'Rourke will officiate with interment to follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
