Ken, age 72, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021. He was born in Baton Rouge and was a longtime resident of Greenwell Springs. Ken supported his family working as a talented welder / pipefitter with Georgia Pacific Papermill for many years. He was master craftsman working with both wood and metal. You could often find him in his shop working on anything and everything. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict. His life was dedicated to serving others. Ken was a beloved ‘warm and fuzzy’ Bishop during his life of service in church. He had many friends who he would drop everything in order to go and help at any time day or night. He was loved by many people and had many friends. Ken was a loving husband who loved his sweetheart more than anything else. He was also a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ken is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Norma Jean Riles Thibodeaux; daughters, Denise Thibodeaux Roy (John), and Tammie Thibodeaux Causey (David); son, Todd Thibodeaux (Heather); sisters, Patricia Thibodeaux, Linda Thibodeaux Strain, and Celeste Thibodeaux Gunter; brothers, Cooper Thibodeaux, Pierre Thibodeaux, and Andre Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Emberlee, Breanna (Will), Allyssa (Brandon), Austin, Morgan (Hunter), Angelina, Gabrielle, Kaitlyn, Sydney, Kynsley, Lillian, Addelyn, Joseph, and Isaac; great-granchildren, Mason, Wrenley, and Eliotte; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lillian Thibodeaux; siblings, Clarence Thibodeaux, Jr., Lillian Katherine Thibodeaux Ducote, Barbara Jean Thibodeaux Baringer, Paul Thibodeaux, Bernadette Thibodeaux Marino, and Russell Ann Thibodeaux Stonaker. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 25367 Riverton Ave, Denham Springs, LA on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service.
