Johnathan Miceli

Johnathan, 31, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was born on March 26, 1990 and lived in Hammond, LA. Johnathan graduated from Hammond High School and earned an associate’s degree from SCL Technical College. He proudly served in the Army National Guard where he was awarded an Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Armed Forces Medal with military device. Johnathan exemplified hard work and dedication, and pursued his passions wholeheartedly. He loved working with his hands and had a real knack for all things mechanical, particularly when it came to trucks and hot rods. Johnathan was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wakeboarding. He was a lifelong fitness enthusiast and recently began bodybuilding. Beneath his tough exterior, Johnathan was a big softy with a heart of gold. He loved deeply and held his family above all else. Johnathan was a devoted and caring father to his sons, Anthony and Joshua, and he lit up when they were around. He was goofy and funny and always horsing around. He just wanted everyone to have a good time. Johnathan will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Miceli; sons Anthony and Joshua Miceli; father Roy (Joey) Miceli and step-mother Courtney; mother Cynthia Singletary; brother, Ryan Miceli; sister Victoria Miceli; grandparents Roy and Jo Ann Miceli, Les and Diane Singletary, and Janice Walker. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 12012 Hwy 190 W. Hammond, LA 70401 on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery.
