June 28, 1982 - April 21, 2021
Born June 28, 1982 at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA, Jeremy, to all who knew him, was the strongest, most fun and gentle person in the world. His biggest accomplishment was showing everyone how much a person can endure while still managing to live a wonderful life. There was never a dull moment when Jeremy was in the room. Whether it was jitter bugging with his momma, dressing up in costumes and waiting for the perfect opportunity to scare his nieces and nephews, or playing funny songs and singing them every time you saw him, he always knew what it meant to have a good time. As a child, his favorite past times were playing in the creek with his brothers, building huts, and shooting pellet guns at everything they could. Jeremy loved hunting, fishing, drawing, and making people laugh over the silliest stuff. He was a big kid with an even bigger heart, and everyone adored that about him. He always had a blast playing with his nieces and nephews and taught them life lessons that they can carry on. Being the greatest impact in his life, his momma helped guide him through countless adversities, and remained strong so that he could too. To know Jeremy is to love him. Although we will always love and miss him, we should celebrate his final freedom from this world and rejoice in his eternal life with Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Jeremy is survived by his mother and father, Felicia and David Guiffreda, Carlos Lopez; Brother, David and his wife Jessica Lopez and their children, Hunter and Rylan; Sister, Sheena and her children, Skyler and Julianna Lopez-Crain; Step Siblings, Eric, Daniel, and Brandy Guiffreda; Half Siblings, Haley, Carlie, Alisha, Caleb, and Eleazar Lopez; Grandparents, Frank and Zella Guiffreda; Aunts, Joanna and Jennifer, Gloria “Tee Tee” Hoggat, Sherri O’Neal; Uncle, Daryl; Life long friend, Blake Couvillion; and Partner, Lindsay Fernandez.
