Jack, age 64, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he met the love of his life. He was a hard worker who dedicated many years as a Deck Engineer. Jack loved the water and spent every other weekend at his camp. He would sit out on the pier, go for boat rides, or his favorite past time, fishing. Jack was a true family man and was most happy surrounded by his grandkids. He took being a PawPaw very seriously and he absolutely adored his wife. Jack was a one of a kind man who will be forever missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lilian Cameron; daughter, Megan Richardson and husband Mark; son, Terry Cameron (Shantel Veberne); sisters, Melissa DiBenedetto, Deanna Cameron; brother, Ranick Cameron and wife Julie; grandchildren, Braeden, Taryn, Jake, Macauley, Micah, Margot, Millie, Marabeth, Maeve, Mena; and great-grandchildren, AvaGrace and Porter. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Lewis Cameron Sr. and Grace DiBenedetto Roberts; siblings, Stephanie Cameron, Jacqueline Cameron-Sharpe; and grandparents, James and Lois Cameron and Dominick and Margaret DiBenedetto. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anything that can be replanted be sent. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 1190 Hwy 51 N. Ponchatoula, LA 70454, on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
