December 24, 1930 - September 22, 2021
Gladys was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the age of 90 years old. She was born and raised in Tickfaw where she was known to be a loving, caring, and kind soul. Gladys had a true gift for helping people, so naturally the nursing field was where she found herself for many years. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado and fell in love with the state so much that she moved there to live for many years. Gladys was called back to her roots in Tickfaw where she lived out the rest of her years. During that time, she found her true calling and that was being in the ministry. Gladys became an Ordained Full Gospel Minister and preached for over 30 years in the house she grew up in that became her very own church, Old Zion Full Gospel Church. She also enjoyed to garden, spend time with her grandchildren and admire the stars in the sky. Gladys was a beautiful person inside and out, who loved God and her family. She will be missed by all who was touch by her heavenly heart. She leaves behind her sons, Milton Green Bigner and Allen Dale Bigner; foster daughter, Anni Delaney; brothers, Larry McDonald and Jessie McDonald and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Gladys is preceded in death by her late husband James Wage Bigner; parents, Livie and Lettie Adison McDonald; son, Ronny Bigner; Daughters, Paulette Bigner Cameron, Brenda Bigner Doty, and Terry Lynn Binger; brother, Jimmy McDonald; granddaughter, Carol Cameron Mortin and grandson, Justin Murry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, held in the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, beginning at 12:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow at The Fellowship Ministry Cemetery.
