Clifton John Saxon

Clifton John Saxon, also affectionately known as “Paw Paw Duck” passed away on March 19, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born in New Orleans, LA, and was a resident of Holden, LA. Clifton was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. His many interests included traveling, gold mining and exploring, coin collecting, bowling, and fishing. Clifton was a trophy hunter and loved to eat all wildlife. He will be fondly remembered for his jovial nature and always telling jokes. Clifton is survived by his wife of 21 years, Anita Simpleman Saxon; daughters, Kitty Gibson Bartholomew (Craig), Megan Elizabeth Lambert (Nicholas), April Anne Saxon; stepsons, John Feulner, Wesley Sandoval, Warren Sandoval; grandchildren, Abbie, Noah, Cayte and Chase Gibson, Jaime Chavez, Desarya and Kaydance Ard, Colson and Payton Lambert. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hakenjos and Rosemary Sevin Hakenjos; brothers, Carl Kunert and Michael Kunert.
