Christopher "Hollywood" North

Christopher “Hollywood” Wayne North Chris, age 24, earned his angel wings on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He was a native and resident of Holden, La. Chris was a hero to the core, who began his passion for helping people, at the young age of 14 after he joined the Livingston Parish District 10 Fire Department as a firefighter, then first responder and was promoted to EMS Captain, the youngest in the departments history. His dedication to helping others drove him to earn his Paramedic certifications, and fell in love with his job with Acadian Ambulance Services. Chris was always willing to help anyone in need and was always there to make them laugh. He was the life of the party, whether it was at a Saints game, at the house, in his Ambulance, or in a firetruck, he was never seen without a big smile on his face. His charismatic personality and love for snapping photos with everyone at any moment earned him the name “Hollywood”. Chris was a wonderful person who never met a stranger, and who never asked for anything and would give someone the shirt off of his back if they needed it. He will be dearly missed. Chris is survived by his loving parents, Tracy and Patrick North; god child, Drew Ballard; grandparents, Linda Ladner, Joseph Guedry and wife Liz, and Agnes North; aunts, Rhonda Fontenot, Latanya Nadeau; uncle, Michael Guedry; special friends, Danelle Morell, Dorothy Harper, Krystal Conn, Shannon Gerlinger, Ashley Cole and Melissa Streeter; firefighter, EMS, Law Enforcement brothers and sisters, as well as too many friends to name. Preceeding Chris in death were his grandfather, Kirby Blount; great grandparents, Joseph Fontenot, Edris Fontenot, Thomas North Sr., Ruby North; and a uncle, Myron “Wally” North. Pallbearers will be Scott Ballard, Danny Church, Seth Dillon, Brian Hutchinson, Lloyd White, Chris Lebourgeois, Travis Daniels, Thomas Sanders, honorary pallbearers are Brad Graves and Courtney Stewart. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. Pastor Richard Wallace will officiate the services with interment to will follow in Stafford Cemetery, Holden.
