Billy J. Clark

Billy J. Clark went to his heavenly home on Monday, June 6th, 2022, at the age of 88. He was born in Star City, Arkansas on April 3rd, 1934. Billy was an amazing person and was someone you could be proud to call friend. He was very hard working and a successful entrepreneur who started and operated an asphalt company that his family still runs to this day. Billy loved growing his vegetable garden, definitely his purple hull field peas which were his all-time favorite. Billy was such a loving person who always made others smile. He will be forever missed. Billy is survived by his daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Clark, Deborah “Debbie” Clark; son, Terry Clark and wife Kim; grandchildren, Christopher Clark and wife Alicia, Lyndsi Thompson and husband Will; great-grandchildren, Cole Pierce, Brady Pierce, Easton Thompson, Nathaniel Clark, Olivia Ruth Clark; Sister Bonnie Murray; Brothers, Eugene Clark, Donald Clark; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his Yorkie, Julia. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Clark of 62 years; parents, Sammy and Margaret Clark; and numerous sisters and brothers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Sunday day, June 12, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Joe Riccobono will officiate the service with interment to follow in Wetmore Cemetery.
