Becky Ann Reiboldt Averitt

Rebecca Ann Reiboldt Averitt was born August 30, 1945 in Pasco, Washington. She grew up in McAllen, Texas where she graduated from McAllen high school. Her parents moved to Houston ,Texas in 1963. She attended South Texas Jr college where she met her husband Rod Averitt in the fall of 1963 They married on March 6, 1964. They lived in the Houston area until her husband surrendered to the ministry. They were called to their first church in 1989 where they served until 1998. They moved to Spring, Texas to accept the call to their second church and served their until retiring in 2017. They moved to Hammond, Louisiana in 2019 to be with their children Darren Averitt and Jennifer Clifton and their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Becky loved her family and enjoyed getting together camping, meals, Christmas, Easter, etc. She loved her animals their dog Luci, and her newest her 7 chickens. When anyone asked when we were going to have chicken for dinner she quickly told them “we don’t eat our friends”. She and Rod enjoyed traveling in their motor home and had many trips planned in it. She and Rod looked forward to their 57th year of marriage in March of 2021. Becky loved her Children and grandchildren and her favorite names were “momma, gramma and Nonnie”. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her adoring husband Rod Averitt, son Darren Averitt and wife Rina, Daughter Jennifer Clifton and husband Sam, sister Judy and husband Frank Oakerson, grand children Maddison Robison, Lyndsie & Shea Averitt King, Justin & Megan Averitt, Noah Clifton, Jordyn & Jonathan Yoast, Haley Brown, Nathan & Ryan Brown, great grandsons Barrett Averitt, Jase King, Easton Brown, Kolton Brown and many other Friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Beverly Reiboldt. Grandmother’s Lodie Muralt and Fawn Birdsall. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations please be made to Westside Baptist Church Missions Fund, thank you.
