Allie Joseph DuBois, age 95, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Livingston, Louisiana on January 29, 2022, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Well done thy good and faithful servant.” Matt 25:21. Allie was born in Albany, Louisiana on January 14, 1927, to Edmond and Clara DuBois. At 17, he enlisted in World War II serving in the United States Navy. He was a long time, beloved member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a deacon. He was a well-respected member of the Operating Engineers Local 406 throughout his work career. He leaves behind a legacy of strong faith, integrity, loyalty, generosity, and uncompromising work ethics. His greatest legacy is his large, loving family who adored him. Allie is survived by his soulmate and wife of 72 years, Olga Robertson DuBois; his 5 children: daughter Peggy DuBois Hicks and husband Bob, son Jimmy DuBois and wife Belinda, daughter Judy DuBois Dietzel, daughter Jerri DuBois Bankston and husband Mark, son Mark DuBois and wife Karen; 11 grandchildren: Heather Hicks, Jennifer Hicks, Lindsey Hicks Trabeaux and husband Billy, Adam DuBois and wife Missy, Amy DuBois Saucier and husband Craig, JerriAnna Bankston Bourn and husband Kasye, Megan DuBois Carter and husband Chris, Emily Bankston Gill and husband Taylor, Paul Dietzel and wife Shelby, Whitney DuBois Wilkinson and husband Jordan, Ryan Bankston; 15 great grandchildren: Ali Sziber and husband Tim, Barrett DuBois, Quinn Saucier, Ainsley DuBois, Emi Kate Saucier, Kanen Bourn, Eli Carter, Greyson Dietzel, Reese Dietzel, Caroline Gill, Banks Dietzel, Channing Carter, Chet Gill, Wilkinson girl (March), Dietzel baby (September); 2 great great grandchildren: Colt and Walker Sziber; Chase Sullivan and Daisy Sziber whom he loved as his grandchildren; his brother Junior DuBois and wife Joyce, his sisters Gaties DuBois Harris and Lucille DuBois Goodwin and husband Wilmer; Robertson brothers and sisters. Allie was preceded in death by his parents Edmond Nicholas DuBois and Clara Addison DuBois; his oldest brother Huey DuBois; his son-in-law Stephen Paul Dietzel.
