Vivian Egle Peterman

With grateful hearts and deep sorrow, we celebrate the beautiful life of Vivian Egle Peterman, who peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on 6/26/2026 at the age of 73. Upon becoming a Christian, Vivian lived her life with unwavering trust in God and a steadfast love for Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of everything she did, guiding her words, her actions, and the way she loved others. She found joy in prayer, strength in Scripture, and peace in the promises of the Lord. Above anything in this world, Vivian cherished her family. They were the greatest blessing of her life, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to loving, supporting, and caring for them. Whether through a warm embrace, a listening ear, a home-cooked meal, or countless quiet acts of service, she made each person feel valued and deeply loved. Her family was her greatest earthly treasure, and her legacy of love will continue through generations. Those who knew Vivian will remember her as a genuinely kind and selfless woman whose heart was always open to others. She possessed a unique spirit that brought warmth, laughter, and comfort wherever she went. She never sought recognition for the good she did, but instead quietly gave of herself with humility and grace. Her compassion, gentle nature, and sincere concern for others reflected the love of Christ in a remarkable way. Though our hearts are heavy with the pain of her passing, we rejoice in knowing that she has been welcomed into her eternal home, where she now rests in the presence of the Savior she faithfully loved and served throughout her life. The hope of eternal life gives comfort to all who mourn, knowing that this farewell is not forever but until we meet again. Vivian leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who were blessed by her kindness, and countless lives touched by her unwavering faith and generous heart. Her love, wisdom, and example will remain forever in the hearts of those privileged to know her. She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Her life was a beautiful testimony to God's love, and her memory will forever be a blessing. May her soul rest in the eternal peace of Christ and may all who loved her find comfort in the promise of everlasting life. Vivian is survived by her daughter Jessica Egle Easley, grandson James Cody Egle and wife Alexandra Rojas Egle, granddaughter Tori Alexandra Easley, sisters Cherie Egle Schulz and Jeanne Egle Pollet, brothers-in-law Lewis “Billy” Mang and Randal Pollet, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Jeannette Boudreaux Egle Mattison (Walter), father, Richard S. Egle, sister Linda Donette Egle Mang, brother Richard Egle, son Joshua Richard Peterman, husband Lucious “Ronnie” Peterman, and brother in law Carl Schulz. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Church of Hammond at a later date.
