Trent Benjamin Stewart A resident of Albany, Trent lost his life on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. He was a high-spirited, joyful and outgoing 23 year old whose life evolved around his son and his fiancé along with his parents, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a very large group of lifelong friends and extended family. Since childhood, Trent has loved hunting and fishing, spending many hours planning and going on hunting and fishing trips with his family and friends. A graduate of Albany High School, Trent also attended SLU. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator supervisor with T & N Commercial, Inc. Trent is survived by his 16 month old son, Mason Benjamin Stewart; fiancé, Melanie d’Fonseca; parents, A.J. and Pam Neal Stewart; sister, Amy Stewart; maternal grandparents, Esteen Glascock Stewart and C.B. Neal, all of Albany. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Brady Sr and Nelda Sanders Stewart and great-grandmother, Mary Hano Stewart, all of Holden; aunts, Dana Neal, Trudi Neal Madison, Genelda Stewart Dubois; uncle, Zack Stewart, Sr.; his fiance’ parents, Gerard d’Fonseca and Helen d’Fonseca and brother-in-law to be, Jake d’Fonseca, all of Albany. Trent leaves behind his best friend, Shelton Vacari along with numerous other close friends and family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home west of Hammond on Monday, March 30th at 10:30 a.m. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Sunday, March 29th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Monday beginning at 8:00 a.m. until the service time. Rev. Carlin Sanders will officiate the services assisted by Rev. Joe Dunn. Interment will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany. Trent was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Jimmy Stewart; uncles, Brandy Stewart, Jr. and Charles Jeffrey Neal; great-grandparents, Hollis and Frances Neal; Louis and Edna Glascock; Abbott Stewart; John and Hazel Sanders.
