Taylor Marie Callahan

Taylor, age 30, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born in Enid, OK and lived in Greensburg, LA. Throughout her life, Taylor faced medical challenges with determination and courage. She never allowed those struggles to define her and continued to pursue her dreams while caring for others. As the oldest sister to five brothers, Taylor took great pride in her role and shared a close bond with each of them. She also adored her nieces and nephew, giving each of them special nicknames. From a young age, Taylor dreamed of becoming a doctor. As she grew older, she realized that nursing was her true calling, believing that nurses were the heart of patient care. Taylor became a Registered Nurse and found fulfillment working in both pediatrics and endoscopy. She often said she could never choose which specialty she loved more. Outside of nursing, Taylor enjoyed doing makeup, listening to Taylor Swift, and spending time with those she loved. She was known for her love of sparkles and glitter and if you ever saw her you can bet she literally lit up a room. Taylor was also known for her cheesecakes, which became a favorite among family and friends. More than anything, She will be remembered for the care she showed others, the love she had for her family, and the impact she made on everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She is survived by her parents, Grace and Andrew Callahan; five brothers, Elijah Callahan (Carlie), Nathan Callahan (Kayla), Luke Callahan (Cabriah), Isaac Callahan (Hanna), Eddie Callahan; sister-in-law, Jennifer LeBlanc; nieces and nephew, Aryela “Sunshine”, Avia “Princess”, Lincoln “Little Man”; Grandma Kay and Papa Ralph; Grandpa John; Grandma Earlyn; BFF, Rachael Portier Walker; beloved dog, Archer; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, and friends. Taylor is preceded in death by her Grampy Edd Perry, Granny and Pops Casey, Grandma Sandy Street, Papa J.Y. Callahan, and Great-Grandma Rita Callahan. The family would like to extend a special thanks to LA Nurse Honor Guard, all of the nurses at OLOL who showed so much care , especially the ones who loved her the last few days: Maria Shepard, Angela Himel. Lauren Tonapking, RTS- Renee Lambert, Jenny Signarino; as well as the family advocates: Sean, Bailee, and Taylor. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 12012 Hwy 190 W. Hammond, LA 70401 on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Stephen Campbell will officiate. The family has requested that everyone who attends wear their brightest clothing and as many sparkles as possible to honor Taylor.
