Sheila Marie Stewart Holden Sheila Stewart Holden passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Covington, LA. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on December 17, 1960, to Lloyd E. Stewart, Jr., and Loreda “Reda” Hill Stewart of Holden, LA. She graduated from Holden High School, where she met her husband, Eric Timothy “Tim” Holden. They were married in 1982 and attended college together at Southeastern Louisiana University, both graduating with their teaching degrees. Sheila taught elementary school both in Livingston and Tangipahoa Parishes, as well as in several other states and Saudi Arabia, where she and Tim lived during the last eight years. Sheila and Tim are the parents of Cody Micah Holden of Austin, Texas, and Casey Maja-Marie Holden of Hammond. She is survived by Tim and her children; her daughter-in-law, Caroline Schram Holden; her parents; her sister, Stacey Stewart Hanson; and brother-in-law, Eddie Hanson, of Albany, LA; brothers-in-law, Raymond Dudley Holden and Barry Craig Holden of Holden, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by paternal grandparents, Lloyd E. Stewart, Sr., and Ruby Lucille Kinchen Stewart; maternal grandparents, Arty Columbus Hill and Edna Starkey Kinchen; mother-in-law, Martha Helen Forrest Holden; and father-in-law, Eric J. “Bood” Holden. Sheila was the liveliest presence at every family gathering, prompting laughter at stories of her adventures and mishaps with Tim, Cody, and Casey. She loved picking out unique Christmas presents for family members and especially remembered all the children for Christmas and birthdays. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon Thompson Funeral Home in Baptist, LA on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 10:30 a.m. Dr. David Blackwell will officiate at the service with interment to follow at Killian Chapel Cemetery, located at the crossroads of Hwy 43 and Hwy 16 in Hillsdale.
