Robert "Bobby" Fletcher Rogers

Robert “Bobby” F. Rogers Bobby, age 70, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Richard Murphy Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud resident of Natalbany, Louisiana. Bobby loved to listen to LSU football and baseball games on his radio. He was a decorated Army Vietnam Veteran who spent time in Honduras, Germany, Japan, and Vietnam. Bobby was extremely proud of his time served in the Army as well as 20 plus years in the National Guard. He was infantry in the Army and a mechanic in the National Guard in A Company in the 205th Engineers in Hammond. Bobby was a truck driver with Tanner Industries for 34 years. He was an easy-going gentleman that loved to socialize with his extended family, Ms. Sylvia, and the gang at Hi-Ho. Bobby enjoyed listening to George Jones and going bowling with his wife back in the day. He was a member of the Springfield American Legion. He loved to spend time with his wife and family more than anything. Bobby is already deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Josie Ann Accomando Rogers; daughters, Lisa Lynn Stumpf and husband David, Stephanie Ann Redmond and husband Troy, Bobbie Jo “B.J.” Rogers and fiancé Kevin Huxen, and Elsie Rogers Baum and husband Randy; grandchildren, Brian Mancuso and wife Tammy, Cheyenne, Ashlynne, Bradyn, Dominic Redmond, Khloie and Sophie Huxen, Josie and Trent Baum; great-granddaughters, Emma and Bree Mancuso; and sisters, Marie, Eva, and Joyce. Bobby is preceded in death by his precious grandson, Troy Preston “T.J.” Redmond Jr, parents, William and Elsie Rogers; and siblings, Alton, Ray, Barbara, and Bonnie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Bro. David Stumpf will officiate the service with interment to follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
