Paulette LeBlanc Hood

Paulette, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2023. She was a resident of Denham Springs, LA. Paulette was a dedicated parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was devout in her faith. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles but was happiest spending time with her family. Paulette would travel all over just to watch her grandkids in all their ballgames and fishing tournaments. She was most proud of being a Maw Maw and took every opportunity to spoil her grandbabies. Paulette adored her family and looked forward to every family gathering. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, and the best Maw Maw anyone could have. Paulette left her family with a lifetime of wonderful memories and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Cline “Billy” William Hood Jr.; daughters, Vicki Jones (Lance), Cathi Morales (Kevin), Darla Green (Wes); son, Aaron Hood (Michelle); sisters, Lois LeBlanc, Julie Tatman, Sandra Piper (Ralph Jr.), Donna Barnett (Robert), Laurie Young, Amy Vicknair (Jamie); brothers, Dave LeBlanc (Mandy), Larry LeBlanc (Lesley); grandchildren, Alexis Dunbar (Parker) Dallis Jones (Noah Lichtenstein), Lacey Brown (Jonathan), Colton Hood, Leeann McMorris, Sophie Morales, Devan Perkins; and great-grandson, Jack Brown. Paulette is preceded in death by her parents, Julien and Catherine LeBlanc; in-laws, Pearl and Cline Hood Sr.; nephews, Cameron Hood, Blaze Gerald Vicknair; niece, Brandy Marie LeBlanc; grandparents, Salvatore and Minnie DeFatta, and Hendrick and Irene LeBlanc; and brother in laws, Jorda Young and Gerald Tatman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Mission of Sacred Heart Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Wounded Warriors in honor of Mrs. Paulette. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA 70726 on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Matthew Graham will officiate with interment to follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
