Makael, age 40, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She was a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Makael was the proud owner of Emeris Salon Suites. Makael was truly one of a kind. She was vibrant, energetic, and full of life. She embraced every day with enthusiasm and purpose, approaching life’s adventures with determination, and independence. Whether she was traveling to new places or gathering with family and friends, Makael made every moment meaningful and memorable. Known as the life of the party, Makael had a remarkable ability to bring people together. Her laughter was contagious, her smile could brighten any room, and her presence made everyone feel welcome and celebrated. She possessed a rare gift for seeing the best in others and never missed an opportunity to encourage, uplift, and support those around her. Above all else, Makael was a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother. She cherished traveling and making memories with her husband and daughters, creating a lifetime of experiences that will be treasured forever. Her greatest pride was her family, and she dedicated herself to preparing her girls for life with strength, confidence, compassion, and resilience. The lessons she taught and the love she shared will continue to guide them throughout their lives. Makael was beautiful both inside and out. Her kindness knew no limits, and she consistently went the extra mile for others, often placing their needs before her own. A lover of photography and scrapbooking, Makael found joy in preserving life’s precious moments. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Makael is survived by her loving husband of 15 wonderful years, AJ LeBlanc; daughters, Brynlee Layne LeBlanc and Lainee Kate LeBlanc; parents, MeLissa Burge, Darin Burge, and Patrick Ducote; maternal grandmother, Kathleen “Nana” Guillot; sister, Alicia Burge; brothers, Kolby Ducote and Corey Burge (Valerie Burge); mother-in-law, Rhonda LeBlanc; father-in-law, Greg LeBlanc; sister-in-law, Melissa McClain (Jeremy); brothers-in-law, Shane LeBlanc (Brittany) and Jay LeBlanc (Cherese); and nieces and nephews, Haleigh Ducote, Madison Ducote, Carter Ducote, Dean Burge, Abel Burge, Violet Burge, Jacob LeBlanc, Parker LeBlanc, Jolie LeBlanc, and Baby LeBlanc on the way. Makael is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Earl “Pops” Guillot; paternal grandfather, Mansel Ducote; and paternal grandmother, Bertha Ducote.
