Louise Thompson Traylor

Louise at the wonderful age of 102 years old, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Pumpkin Center, LA. Louise was a marvelous cook who loved to provide good meals for families at special times in their lives. She was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed quilting also. Crossword puzzles kept her company in her quiet times. Louise was a ‘Charter Member’ of Trinity Baptist Church; and over the many years there, she taught bible to all age ranges. To all the children going to church on Sunday, especially to Julie Aime and to Jacob Dufreche, Mrs. Louise was another grandmother; the gum-toting kind of love. She worked for years as a personal caregiver, caring for others with love and tenderness. Beautiful music was a part of her entire life; her singing voice blessed others, both in church and out. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Louise is survived by her daughter, Nan Marie Traylor; son, Eddie ‘Spot’ Traylor (Leanna); grandchildren, Robert Traylor (Patsy), James Traylor (Melissa), Marie Kreutzer (P-nut), Otis Traylor (Robin), Kimberly ‘Kim’ Hunt (Jamie), Anthony Sirone III, Matthew Paul Traylor (Alanna), Ashley Traylor Louviere (Noel); 24 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Thompson Blanchard, and Boyd Thompson; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Louise is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edgar Traylor, Sr.; daughter, Mary Grace Traylor Sirone Lamonte; parents, Daniel Preston Thompson and Grace Ophelia McIntyre Thompson; along with ten (10) siblings. The family would like to give a special thanks to everyone at Heritage Healthcare of Hammond for the 14 years of tender loving care given to Mrs. Louise. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations please be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation from the Trinity Baptist Church, 42062 Pumpkin Center Rd., Hammond, LA. on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Visitation will resume Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
