Larry "Tadpole" Keith Kennedy

Larry Keith Kennedy “Tadpole”, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, bother and friend earned his wings on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 81. Tadpole was born on March 22, 1945, to the late Kyle and Inez Kennedy. He was a resident of Denham Springs, LA where he graduated from DSHS, a member of the American Legion, he attended Don Ave Baptist church, and proudly served his country in The United States Navy. He worked at Ethyl Corporation, Halliburton and retired from Georgia Pacific in 2010. Tadpole loved his family and friends. He loved get togethers, dancing, the laughter, the cooking and everything family. He also had a love of fishing, which he enjoyed every chance he got. One of his favorite sayings was, “Hate isn’t in my vocabulary, I love everyone, just some more than others”. He’s survived by his adored wife of 56 years, Mary Gauthier Kennedy; children, Rhonda Brouillette, Taddi Brown (Richard), and John Kennedy (Kim); grandchildren, Chad Brouillette, Anthony Ogden (Brook), Logan Brown, Michah Ashford (Josh), Sean Kennedy (Katie), Gabriel Kennedy (Savannah), Trey Kennedy, Cole Kennedy, Grace Kennedy, and Ava Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Kros and Kenzie Brouillette, Wyatt, Keegun and Maverick Ogden, Carson Brown, Kayden, Riley and Karter Asford, Karlee and Colton Kennedy, Maddix Kennedy, Charlie and Aubrey Kennedy. He’s preceded in death by his parents, Kyle and Inez Kennedy; brother Dr. Kyle Ronald Kennedy and his daughter, Tracey Ogden. Tadpole will be carried to his resting place by his son, John Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny and Chad Brouillette, Anthony Ogden, Richard and Carson Brown, Josh Ashford, Sean Kennedy, Gabriel Kennedy, Trey Kennedy and Cole Kennedy. Guests are asked to wear bright colors to celebrate Tadpole’s life. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. which will be officiated by Pastor Tom Higginbotham. Service will be followed by a graveside at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Following the funeral, guests are invited to Don Ave Baptist Church afterwards for food and fellowship.
