Jack "Pow Pow" Dudley Wall Sr.

Jack “Pow Pow” Wall, Sr. Jack, age 81, went to join his wife in heaven on April 7, 2019 at his Springfield home surrounded by his loving family. He was known in the community as “Pow Pow” for his love of the outdoors and hunting anything that moved, from deer and turkey down to squirrels and alligators. Jack was a talented carpenter and also a member of the Carpenters Local for many years. When it came to cooking Jambalaya, smoked bacon and so many other treats, Jack is who everyone came to when having a fundraiser or a get together, because he was the best and never asked for anything in return. He was a huge family man with an even bigger family, so big that they had to move the Christmas tree and the gatherings outside to fit everyone. His family and friends will miss the coffee visits and his story telling of the good ol’ times and his many hunting stories. Jack was a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him and is already deeply missed. He is survived by his children, Jack D. Wall Jr. and wife Adele, Shelia Wall Gray and husband Tommy, Ronnie Wall Sr. and wife Susan, Arlene Lee and husband Robert, Cindy Abels and husband Jason, and Michael “Nute” Wall; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, as well as brother, Sam Wall; sisters, Minnie Patterson, Ruth Juhasz Dufreche, Doris Decota and Linda Fendalson. Preceding Jack in death were his loving wife of 56 years, Sarah Jenkins Wall; grandchildren, Morgan “Sunnie” Morales and Casey Wall Smith; great-grandson, Elijah William Morales; parents, Henry and Evelyn Wall; brothers, Dennis “Tinker” Wall, E.W. “Tude” Wall, Allen “Dick” Wall, Gene Wall, Julius “JBoy” Wall; sisters, Winnie Smiley and Florence Patterson; as well as daughter-in-law, Lynette Wall. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Woodland Baptist Church in Springfield on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Please feel free to wear your camouflage in honor of Mr. Jack. Pastor Josh Powell, Rev. Ray Werline, Rev. Glynn Fendalson, and Nathan Wall will officiate the services with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
