Carroll Wallace Perrin

Carroll Wallace Perrin passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 85, and is now rejoicing in Paradise with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 Carroll lived her life deeply rooted in this verse and wanted those around her to know its promise was for them, too. She believed God gives His children the power to walk in His purpose and carry His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven; the assurance of His unconditional, perfect, and unfailing love; and the peace of a sound mind that comes from knowing we are redeemed, held securely by our Savior, and will one day be reunited again in Heaven. Carroll lived with that confidence and joy, and she shared it freely with everyone blessed enough to know her. Born on March 15, 1941, in a little house on Charbonnet Road in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Carroll was the youngest of four children born to Donald and Ruth Wallace. She later married the love of her life, Albert “Bert” Joseph Perrin, with whom she shared 62 beautiful years of marriage filled with devotion, family, laughter, and unwavering love. Together, Carroll and Bert built a home that welcomed everyone with warmth, grace, and open arms. Their greatest joy was their family. Carroll was a devoted mother whose life mission was to know Jesus and make Him known through the way she loved and raised her children. Carroll is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Albert 'Bert' Joseph Perrin; by three of her four children: Kimberly Perrin Meraz (Porfirio Meraz), Gale Perrin Kornbrek (Glenn Kornbrek), and Dale Perrin (Lisa Domiano Perrin). She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kyle Patrick “Pat” Perrin, who passed away in childhood. Carroll’s children and grandchildren were among her greatest treasures, and nothing brought her more joy than being “Maw Maw.” She leaves behind grandchildren who adored her deeply: Ryan Stevens (Brandy), Brittany Stevens, Monica Cochennic, Jonathan Russell, and Kyle Russell (Shelby), Hannah Hood (Josh), Victoria Littlefield (Andrew), and Emily-Kate Carter (Christian). She was also blessed with twelve cherished great-grandchildren: Cash, Rayne, Ellie, Elijah, Harvey, Henley, Hosea, Heights, Cohen, Adeline, Pierson, and baby Jerry Hezekiah, who is soon to arrive. Carroll is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many others she lovingly welcomed into her home and heart throughout the years. To know Carroll was to feel seen, loved, and accepted exactly as you were. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruth Wallace; her brothers, Donald Wallace Jr., Edgard Faulk; and her sisters, Jean VanMeter and Jackie Kasper. Carroll will be remembered for her radiant smile, infectious joy, generous spirit, and the kind of love that made people feel instantly at home. She had a gift for loving others deeply and without condition. Her faith shaped every part of her life, and she found great joy in reading and studying the Bible and listening to praise and worship music. In her younger years, Carroll loved to dance and was known not just to cut a rug, but to truly tear it up. She also loved gathering around the table to play cards, laugh with family, and make memories that will live on for generations. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carroll Perrin’s beautiful life on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00–6:00 PM at the Perrin home, located at 39674 Teel Road in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. A memorial service officiated by Pastor Josh Hood, grandson-in-law, will begin at 4:00 PM. The family looks forward to welcoming loved ones to gather together in fellowship and remembrance, with food, coffee, and cookies lovingly prepared and provided. In honor of Carroll’s love for beauty and life, the family will be planting a hydrangea garden in her memory.
