Brendan Patrick Gallagher Jr.

Brendan Jr. earned his angel wings on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 2. He was an amazing little boy that approached the world with the utmost curiosity. Brendan Jr. has had a smile on his face since the day he was born and had the most contagious laugh. He loved being outside exploring and was looking forward to his first hunting season. Whether he was chasing chickens, blowing leaves and dirt with his blower, or just going for a tractor ride with his dad, he was happy. Brendan Jr. was 100% boy, and as tough as nails. He was so very smart and never missed a bedtime story. Brendan Jr. adored his brother, Bubba. Wherever Bubba went or whatever Bubba was doing, Brendan Jr. was right behind following his lead. He loved dinosaurs, Choo Choo trains, and all animals. He also loved to sing songs with his mama. Brendan Jr. liked to watch Bluey, but his all-time favorite movie was The Good Dinosaur. He had the most beautiful blue eyes, and they were always so full of wonder. Brendan Jr. could make friends with anyone and was absolutely fearless. In his short time on this Earth, he left an incredible impact on so many. Brendan Jr. will be deeply missed and for now he will be his families’ guardian angel. He is survived by his parents, Christen Abels and Brendan Gallagher Sr.; brother, Brody “Bubba” Young; grandparents, Charles Abels III, Lynn and William Gallagher Jr., Darinda “Deanie” Wall, Allen Wall; aunts, Caraline Abels, Cameron Abels; godparents, Kaitlyn Gallagher and Sean Gallagher; great-uncle, Ryan Herring and family, Garrett Childers; great-aunt, DeEtte Abels; great-aunt and uncle, Nancy and Chuck Daniels and family; great-grandparents, John Dragan, Diane Lynn Gallagher, Gary Childers, Jimmy Herring; special Uncles, Jason Horzelski (Erin), Blake Corley, Christopher Schulz; and special aunt, Baylie Gilly (Andrew). Brendan Jr. was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Charles “Charlie” Abels Jr., Dianne Ratliff Childers, Judith Herring, Louise Dragan, Barbara Ann Giller, Donald Giller, and William Frances Gallagher Sr; and great-uncle, Will Childers. Thompson Funeral Home at 12012 Hwy 190 W Hammond, LA 70401 on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Father Cayat and Brother Paul Taylor will officiate and interment will follow in Killian Baptist Church Cemetery.
