Barbara "Bobbie" Langlois Haigler

Barbara “Bobbie” A. Haigler (Langlois) of Prairieville, La passed away on September 9, 2024, surrounded by her three children. She was born August 15, 1943 (81) in Baton Rouge and a proud alumnus of Redemptorist High School. Bobbie was a magnificent woman deeply committed to her family, especially her treasured grand and great grandchildren. Knowing Bobbie was to know great food, excellent company and unconditional love. Her presence will be profoundly missed along with her laugh, smile and unwavering ability to make you feel at home with a bowl of her marvelous gumbo and potato salad. Bobbie dedicated three decades of her life as a beautician. She adored her work using her skillful hands to create not only lasting friendships, but also to bring joy and happiness to each and every individual who sat in her chair. Masterfully working both hands and heart was her life’s work. If you decided to sit with her to play one of her favorite card games, Pokeno or Bunko, you were sure to enjoy many wonderful conversations. Her unrivalled passion, however, was hosting. Hosting neighbors, friends and all her family for Holiday meals where cherished memories were made. Her beloved family extends their deepest heartfelt thanks to all of those neighbors and friends who supported Bobbie, especially following the passing of her most cherished Husband, William “Bill” Haigler. She leaves behind a loving family including her siblings Allen Joseph "AJ” Jr. (Tammy), Kathryn (Bill), Mary Alice (Harold), and Paul Douglas; her children Annette Simmons (Craig), Rick Haigler (Donna), and Kristie Gough (Brian); her grandchildren Jacob (Jessee), Tyler, Hannah (Brett), Kyle (Brooke), Natalie (Cameron), Brent (Stephanie), and Bryce; and her great-grandchildren McKenzy, Rhett, Harper, Blair, and Beau. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Alice E. and Allen Joseph Langlois, and her brothers Ronnie and Gerard Michael Langlois. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandson-in-laws. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA 70726 on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. which will be officiated by Pastor Lance Webre. Interment will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
