Anthony Howard

Anthony, age 44, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was a native of Rio De Janeiro, Sao Cristovao in Brasil and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Anthony was a founding member of the Legends Motorcycle Club and is the designer of the patch they wear. He was an amazing artist who drew beautifully. Anthony is remembered for painting the mural at Bonnabel High School, where he graduated. He was a skilled martial artist in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and enjoyed watching MMA. He was a dedicated fan of futebol/soccer and when he wasn’t cheering on Brazilian teams he was cheering on and training his son and his many teammates. He was a hands-on father, who changed his working hours so he wouldn’t miss anything in his children’s life. You could always find Anthony standing away from the crowds at the game so he could zone in and critique everyone playing. He was always there to support his daughter in her many endeavors, whether soccer, basketball, track, dance, or tik-tok. Anthony spoiled his baby boy, who is his true mini me. Anthony and his sons loved comics and were fans of Marvel and Star Wars. He was also a huge music fan of all genres. Many memories were made attending concerts with his wife, Valene and catching the beach as much as possible. Together they had the opportunity to see many bands play including The Marley Family and Willie Nelson. Anthony was a true family man who always put his wife and children first and will be forever missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years and 18 years of being in each other’s lives, Valene Howard; sons, Anthony Kwai- Chang Howard and Anthony Guerreiro Howard; daughter, Valencia Arielle Howard; parents, Terry and Jeanne Groves, biological father, Severino Arrudas Filho; sisters, Carol Groves, Thalia Groves Thigpen (Hank), and Ana Gabriela Falcao; brother, Terry Groves Jr. (Lauren); uncles, Reggie Howard (Rosilda) Michael Howard, and Roni Andrade; aunt, Maura Andrade; mother and father in law, Tony and Jackie Mouton; grandparents in law, Hillman and Anna Mae Mouton; sister in law, Brittni Mouton; brother in law, Terrell Mouton; as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cousins. Anthony is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis and Evanilda Howard; and grandfather, Mauro Andrade de Silva. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.
