Amanda Pennison Luneau

Amanda, 48 years old of Watson, Louisiana, went to her heavenly home on Monday, April 29, 2024. She was a 1993 graduate of Redemptorist High School. Amanda attended Tulane and later completed her associates degree at Southeastern University. For twenty years, she volunteered in the schools, the Livingston Parish Children’s Choirs, and anywhere else needing help. Amanda obtained her florist license and made beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, funerals, and holidays. She created and ran her own company, Dee-Lightfully Unique, and did embroidery for individuals and companies. Amanda loved cooking, reading, volunteering, and crafting. She was “Momma Mandy” to many, always gave the best hugs, and stood up for those in need. Amanda was capable of knowing what someone needed even when they didn’t. She did everything for everyone without asking or expecting anything in return. Amanda helped and gave even when she had nothing to give. The most important thing in her life was her daughters, Deanna and Analena. Amanda attended every school, color guard, and choir event even as an only parent. She brought joy to everyone she met. The world will be dimmer without her. Even in death, she touched so many lives and brought people together. Amanda leaves behind her two daughters, Deanna (Anthony) and Analena Luneau; parents, Gary Pennison, Lynne Pennison, and Darron Babin; sister, Katie Alombro (Matt); brothers, Joey Pennison, Charles Pennison (Amy), and David McNeal; brother-in-law, Ryan Luneau (Bethany); grandparents, Mary Lou Pennison and Charles Holloway; nieces and nephews, Aurora, Trey, Abigail, Anna, and Andrea; godchild, Alex; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Amanda joined her husband and best friend in Heaven, Stephen “Brad” Luneau. She is preceded in death by her mother, Karen Bailey Babin; grandparents, Johnny Pennison, John Bailey, Marie Bailey, and Analynn T. Holloway; and niece, Julianna Alombro. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Livingston Parish Children’s Choirs in honor of Amanda. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation at the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at French Cemetery in Center Point, Louisiana.
