Julie Patterson

Julie Anne Patterson, age 51, a resident of Loranger, passed away Nov. 25, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center. Julie was born on March 5, 1962 in Minot, North Dakota. She was a most precious Child of God and family. Surviving are her parents, Wayne and Susan Patterson of Loranger; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Hope and Jimmy Terry and their children Ashley, Katie and Samuel of Loranger, Melinda and Paul Tardiff and their children Laura and Joseph of Thibodeaux; aunts and uncles, Aimee and Paul Anthon, Travis and Delores Patterson; cousins, wonderful neighbors and friends that she loved as family. She was preceeded in death by her grandparents, Bruce and Ursula Gaude, George Patterson and Aliene Patterson King. Julie graduated from Oak Forest Academy and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. After working at Our Lady of the Lake and Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, she practiced as a Cardiac Intensive Care Travel Nurse in New York City, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Wisconsin and Hawaii. Julie enjoyed her travels in Europe and the USA, and she loved helping with Ashley, Katie, Samuel and their friends at 4-H Livestock Shows and Activities, where she made great memories and many forever friends. Julie had rededicated her life to her Precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was thankful for all of the wonderful things He had done for her. She also was passionate about helping those in addiction and recovery until her death. Special thanks to Pastors Mike and Karin Bush, Pastor Jack Palmer, loving friends at Calvary, her doctors and staff at North Oaks Med 3 and ICU. A Celebration of Julie's Life will be held at her church, Calvary Christian Center, 118 N. Richardson St., Hammond, La., Saturday, Dec.7, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Donations may be made in memory of Julie to The Home of Grace, P. O.
