Beverly Lamarca

Beverly, age 72, was born on September 16, 1943 to the late Carrie and Norman Rivers, in Independence, Louisiana; and went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2016. She has been married to the Love of her life, Anthony C. LaMarca for 52 years, with an unconditional love like no other. Beverly retired from the Tangipahoa School System after 10 years of teaching the Italian language. She then was employed with the Lighthouse Ranch for the Boys in Loranger for 20 years where she graciously showed her love and compassion for the children there. Beverly has held a St. Joseph’s Altar for 30 years at her home where she dedicated countless hours to the Lord. She took pride in giving to others and making sure that nobody left her house hungry. Numerous family members would often receive her thoughtful wake up calls each morning. Beverly loved BIG and had a heart of gold with a one of a kind personality. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, Nanny, and friend that will be missed by all who knew her. Beverly is survived by her husband, Anthony; daughters, Brigitte Bankston and husband Barry, Daphne Leblanc and husband David; son, Anthony P. LaMarca and wife Alex; grandchildren, David Leblanc and wife Talitha, Baileigh Giacone and husband Tyler, Dillon Leblanc, Brenleigh Bankston, Adelyn LaMarca, and soon-to-be grandbaby number 6; great grandchild, Caegan Giacone; brothers, John, Norman Jr, Dan, Charles Wayne, and Richie Rivers; 5 sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Carol Rivers Carter; and nephew and godson, Brad Rivers. Pallbearers will be Dillon Leblanc, Barry Bankston, Jason LaMarca, Ritchie Rivers, Charles Wayne Rivers, Dan Rivers, John Rivers, Tyler Giacone, and Anthony Santangelo. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Rivers Jr and Caegan Giacone Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Independence from 11:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Father Howard Adkins will officiate and internment will follow in Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
