Beth Reich Leeper

Beth, age 73, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her four sons and family on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was a native of Metairie, Louisiana and a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Beth has been a life-long Methodist. She was raised in Munholland Methodist Church, but has been a dedicated member of Springfield Methodist Church for the past several years. In her free time, Beth enjoyed ceramics, bowling, dancing, listening to Elvis, and playing pokeno. Above all, she was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put her family first. Beth would spend hours cross-stitching blankets and Christmas Stockings for the new babies being born in her family. She loved to feed her family and made sure to bake and cook for them, and they had to eat it! Beth will be forever loved and missed by everyone who knew her. Beth is survived by her sons, Michael Leeper (Laurie), Troy Leeper (Laurie), Jerry Wayne Leeper Jr. (Teresa), and Chad Leeper (Gaynell); sisters, Merryl Hardenstein and Cathy Reich; grandchildren, Aaron Leeper (Ashlee), Paige Leeper, Brittney Morris, Kristine Scaling (Micah), Ryan Leeper (Valerie), Shelby Woodbury (Mike), Nicholas Leeper (Mallory), Christopher Leeper (Lexie), Chace Leeper, Kyle Leeper (Savannah), Joseph Ryan Leeper, Jase Leeper, Nataleigh Leeper, Emily Leeper, Rebekah Leeper, and Mallorie Leeper; and great-grandchildren, Zeppelin, Henry, Gregory, Abilgail, Annabelle, Phillip, Lila, Riley, Silas, Jaxson, and Nolan. Beth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Jerry Wayne Leeper Sr.; parents, Louis Augustus Reich and Estel Messina Reich; brother, Alton Chopin; sister, Audrey Hymel; nieces, Kursti Chambers and Holly Knight; and nephews, Steven Chambers, Brian Chopin, Glen Sins, and George Sins Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 1190 Hwy. 51 North Ponchatoula, LA 70454, on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will resume the following day on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery.
